Whenever possible please tick the medication required on the printed slip provided by the surgery given to you with last prescription. If you need a prescription posted back to you, please provide a self-addressed envelope.
Prescription requests by fax are no longer accepted but can be emailed to GRECCG.Waverleyadmin@nhs.net
Your regular pharmacy will also be happy to request in writing on your behalf
Some chemists also provide delivery service for housebound patients. Our staff can arrange that for you but delays or non-delivery is not our responsibility.
Please note, repeat prescriptions cannot be issued over the telephone.
Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)
Electronic Prescription Service is a new service that will make it easier for GPs to issue prescriptions and more convenient for patients to collect their medicines. Using EPS means that prescriptions by GPs and other prescribers will be transferred electronically to the pharmacist nominated by the patient. The prescriptions will also be sent automatically to the Prescription Pricing Authority. Please ask your pharmacist or at the surgery for further details. More details can be obtained at www.connecting forhealth.nhs.uk
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, Pharmacist, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
